Both Jimmy Garoppolo & Jacoby Brissett Appear At Practice

In six days, the Patriots will square off against the Bills at Gillette Stadium, and it looks like the team just might have an actual quarterback ready by then.

I’ve gotta say, I was excited to see how Bill Belichick was going to handle a game with no healthy quarterbacks on the depth chart. Even against Rex Ryan’s Bills, that’d be a real challenge, something Belichick hasn’t faced since the Wildcat offense in 2009.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like we’re going to see it happen; both active quarterbacks on the roster, Jimmy Garoppolo and Jacoby Brissett, practiced today.

I’m obviously using unfortunately sarcastically.

This is good news. Really good news. Even though I had complete faith that Belichick would figure something out, going into a divisional game without a quarterback is less than ideal.

However, the the prospect of having both quarterbacks healthy makes the Bills look a lot less intimidating.

Sure, Buffalo killed Arizona this weekend, but Rex is already talking about the Pats in his usual way: like an idiot.

It’s incomprehensible why this guy can’t get it through his head that he shouldn’t fire shots at New England. They’ve owned him since the day he became a head coach, and that’s with his defeat of the Patriots in the 2010 playoffs. Every time he opens his mouth about the Patriots, his team gets eaten alive. Seriously, throughout the years Rex has coached some of the best defenses in the league, but when they come to Foxboro, they get dismantled. And it’s because he won’t shut up. When he talks, his players lose focus, and good luck beating the Pats with distracted players.

(I don’t even know why I just went off on that tangent, but it felt right. Sometimes you have to drop a mini -rant about Rex Ryan. It happens. Back to quarterbacks.)

As of now, the injury status for both players isn’t known. We’ll know their actual statuses tomorrow afternoon upon the release of the injury report. But having either Garoppolo or Brissett ready for Sunday makes this game feel like a guaranteed W.

The Pats are on fire. They’re 3-0. The Bills are only 1-2, and no matter how well they played last week, I think their chances of beating the Patriots with an actual quarterback are just about zero.

Go Pats.
