News broke out early this morning that former Patriots Tight End Aaron Hernandez hung himself in his jail cell in the correction center in Walpole, MA, just a few short miles from Gillette Stadium.
Hernandez, who was 27, had just got off a double murder case on Friday and was set to appeal the life sentence and murder of Odin Lloyd and per his agent he had a “good chance” to win that appeal.
Why Hernandez killed himself will remain unknown forever.
It is hard to feel sorry for a murderer and people shouldn’t celebrate his life. However, it is extremely sad that Hernandez was a wasted talent and had the world in the palm of his hands at just 23.
The Patriots, who will visit the White House today, were quoted saying “We are aware of the reports, but don’t anticipate that we will be commenting today”.
