Last Thursday evening, in the Patriots first Pre-season match up, rookie Malcolm Mitchell went down with what seemed to be a devastating elbow injury. New England fans feared the worst and believed it could of been the start to another WR injury curse. Boston Herald’s Jeff Howe reported that Mitchell “could be out for four weeks”.
Astonishingly, Mitchell was suited up in full pads today at practice, just four days later.

With his return to practice he will not be involved in much heavy physical contact until he is 100%, but it is great news that after just 4 days he is already back on the field putting in reps. At this rate he should be healthy and ready to go by Week 1.
In Mitchell’s Patriots pre-season debut he put up 4 catches for 55 yards which left a lot of spectators thrilled to see what he can do this year, especially once Bradyis back. He showed impressive route-running and catching skills making some great sideline grabs. He is going to be a huge threat this year playing with our stud receiving core allowing them to get open more and creating separation. Defenses will not be able to double cover our star players such as Gronk and Edelman because they will have to focus on speedy Malcolm Mitchell making a great play.
Having him back in the line-up will be crucial for the first 4 weeks of the season, and I see a lot of potential in Mitchell this upcoming season.
