If you asked me what I’d like to read after a Patriots’ preseason game, I would not include the following tweets in my reply.
Patriots suspect Julian Edelman tore his ACL, but do not definitely know, per source. MRI on Sunday to determine full extent of injury.

#Patriots WR Julian Edelman has suffered what is believed to be a torn ACL, per sources. MRI tomorrow to confirm.

And, if you disregarded the fact that I told you I was not interested in reading these types of things and showed them to me anyways, I can only assume my reaction would look something like this:
While that may seem dramatic to some, others would argue it is an absolutely appropriate response to news like this.
If the Patriots’ offense is a drink, Julian Edelman is the straw that stirs it. He’s Tom Brady’s favorite target and has the ability to impact a football game that’s unlike anyone else on this roster. Players like Rob Gronkowski, Brandin Cooks, and Chris Hogan are certainly important, and Bill Belichick will undoubtedly employ a ‘next man up’ mindset, but this is a huge negative no matter how you look at it. Julian Edelman is the key to the offense and a torn ACL is the football equivalent to losing that key in a storm drain.
